What a horrible human being. That was the essence of a hate crime.

Of course he does! He’s no better than his dear leader - TACO don!! If this isn’t a hate crime I don’t know what is!! Imagine if this was flipped & a Black/Brown person sprayed 2 white kids, they’d be talking about a lynching🙄🤦🏼‍♀️😡😤🤬

You know what breaks me? That this story isn’t shocking. It’s expected. And that’s the grief of it. Bear mace on toddlers. Slurs through a fence. A history of harassment documented and dismissed—until Black babies are coughing and crying, and only then does the state pretend to care.

Florida doesn’t have a hate crime definition problem. It has a hate crime denial problem.

We keep watching these white aggressors get charged with battery while their intent—their history of targeting Black families—is treated like a footnote. Meanwhile, the mothers are forced to fundraise for safety, forced to move. Forced to carry the weight of state failure on their backs while the system hands bonds and second chances to people who’ve already shown what they’re capable of.

Ajike Owens should’ve been the last. But here we are—again.

And I’ll say this plainly: If a white woman can spray a military-grade chemical on two Black girls and walk out of jail untouched by hate crime laws, then those laws were never meant for us.

Don't arrest her.

Put her in a 72 hour psych hold and start proceedings to commit her to a mental hospital.

She attacked children. If the Ocala cops won't do their jobs, try something else but get her off the streets.

This was a hate crime. So what if the woman is 81 there is not excuse and she's old enough to know better. The fact that they let her out to live alongside that family. THEY shouldn't have to live in fear, or have to deal with her again. She may be senile, if that is so she needs to go to a home.

That's a hate crime, assault, and child abuse. That sicko should never be allowed to walk the streets again. Look at those beautiful children. She's a pig.

Why is it that all Florida “crackers” look like they are inbred losers? The ignorant racism of these losers is pathetic.

Yes. Sadly, I'm not surprised in the slightest. Expect more incidents like this, folks. The orange bigot is in power and loves to spread hate. MAGA = make America white again. If he could remove all the people of colour, he would. His hatred is boiling over, and it encourages the racists to commit horrific crimes like this. The film Mississippi Burning comes to mind. I hope the US doesn't go back to those days. Anything is possible with this white supremacist in charge. Scary times. Be safe, everyone. 🙏🏽

Racism and hatred is the theme of MAGA. It is the juicy bit that keeps MAGATS interested, involved and supportive of their cult leader, even as he tears are country to shreds.

This is so disturbing but unfortunately unsurprising. Years ago, my family and I were heading to Orlando for vacation, and we got lost in Ocala, FL, which we'd never even heard of. A cop stopped us for the plate light being out and he asked us what we were doing there. As though we needed a permission slip to enter the city. I told him we were on vacation and we were looking for our resort. The cop responded with, "And you chose Ocala for vacation?"
